Quick guide
Install Union Line Calls on your phone
Adding ULC to your home screen turns the website into an app you can tap into from your lock screen, get push alerts from, and use full-screen without the browser bar getting in the way. Takes about 30 seconds — pick your device below.
WHY INSTALL
- Push alerts when new calls land at your favorite locals — straight to your lock screen, like any other app.
- One-tap access from your home screen — no fumbling for a bookmark or typing the URL.
- Full-screen view — no browser address bar eating screen space, more room for what matters.
- Stays signed in longer than a browser tab — open it, see the board, close it, repeat.
IPHONE / IPAD STEPS
Add to Home Screen — Safari
Important: you must be using Safari on iOS, not Chrome or Firefox. Apple only allows installs from Safari. If you opened this page in another browser, copy the URL and paste it into Safari first.
- 1
Tap the Share button
At the bottom of the screen on iPhone (or the top right on iPad), tap the Share icon — it looks like this: - 2
Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
The Share menu has a long list of options. Scroll down past the row of app icons until you see "Add to Home Screen" with a small plus square icon. Tap it. - 3
Tap "Add" in the top right
You'll see a preview with the ULC icon and the name "Union Line Calls". You can edit the name if you want a shorter label — "ULC" works. Then tap Add in the top right. - 4
Open it from your home screen
Close Safari and find the ULC icon on your home screen. Tap it — you'll see the app open full-screen with no browser chrome. That's the installed PWA.

Common questions
I don't see 'Add to Home Screen' on iOS
Most likely you're not in Safari. Chrome and Firefox on iPhone can't install web apps — only Safari can. Copy the URL, open Safari, paste it in, then try again.
I don't get push notifications after installing
On iOS you need to (1) install the app to your home screen FIRST, (2) open it from the home screen at least once, and (3) accept the push permission prompt. Tap the bell icon inside the app to enable alerts. Members tier required.
The app looks like a regular website, not full-screen
You're probably still in Safari/Chrome rather than the installed app. Look at your home screen — there should be a separate ULC icon. Open it from there to get the full-screen view.
Can I install it on a computer?
Yes — Chrome and Edge on Windows, Mac, or Linux support it. See the Computer tab above for steps. Safari for Mac and Firefox don't currently support web app installs.
How do I remove it?
Same as any app. iOS: long-press the icon, tap 'Remove App'. Android: long-press, drag to 'Uninstall'. Desktop: open the installed app, click the three-dot menu, choose 'Uninstall Union Line Calls'.
